Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 19, 2026

Bust the Bond PAC is a Dallas political committee. This page explains what we collect when you sign up on this site, what we do with it, and how to tell us to stop. It is written in plain English on purpose.

What we collect

One form on this site collects information: the Take Action sign-up form. If you fill it in, we collect your name, your email address, and — only if you choose to give them — your cell phone number and street address, along with your city, your ZIP code, and the boxes you check about how you would like to help.

That is everything. We do not ask for, and have no way to see, your party registration, your voting history, your employer, or your income.

What we do with it

We use it to do the thing you asked us to do. If you asked for a yard sign, someone uses your address to bring you one. If you asked to knock doors, someone calls or emails you about a shift. If you asked for updates or a reminder to vote, you get those.

We also use it to send campaign email and, if you gave us your cell number, campaign text messages. Both are described below.

Text messages

Giving us your cell phone number on the sign-up form is how you opt in to text messages. It is optional — you can leave the field blank and still sign up for everything else.

If you opt in, you may receive texts, including autodialed and automated texts, with campaign updates, volunteer and event reminders, and Election Day voting reminders from Bust the Bond PAC. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them. Reply HELP for help. You can also email us and we will take you off the list by hand.

Your SMS opt-in and your phone number are not sold, rented, or shared with anyone — including other campaigns, committees, or list vendors — for their own messaging or marketing.

Email

If you give us your email address, we may send you campaign updates and reminders. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can reply to any of them and ask to be removed.

Who sees it

People working on this campaign, and the service providers that make the site run — our website host, our database host, and the service that sends our email and texts. They handle it on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for anything else.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information.

We may disclose information if the law requires it. Texas campaign finance law also requires political committees to publicly report certain information about people who give money — see the donations section below.

Donations

The Donate buttons on this site hand you off to Anedot, a separate payment processor. Your card number and billing details are entered on Anedot's page, not ours, and we never see or store them. Anedot's own privacy policy governs what happens there.

Texas law requires political committees to report the name, address, employer, and occupation of certain contributors to the Texas Ethics Commission, and those reports are public records. That requirement applies to money you give — it does not apply to simply signing up on this site.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and carries no advertising or tracking pixels. Nothing here follows you to other websites.

How long we keep it, and how to be removed

We keep sign-ups for as long as the campaign is active, and afterward only as long as the law requires us to keep records.

You can ask us at any time to tell you what we have, correct it, or delete it. Email us and we will take care of it.

Children

This site is meant for adults taking part in a Dallas election. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how any of this works, we will change this page and update the date at the top.

Questions

Email us and a person will answer. This is a volunteer campaign, so give us a day or two.
